In his New West Notes, Bill Bradley also writes on the disarray in the Democrat camp resulting from Angelides’ poor performance.

Five weeks before election day, California’s Democrats are in something of a state of disarray. Ticket-topper Phil Angelides trails by double digits in every one of the state’s public polls, reflecting what has been the reality in private polls for many weeks. Nothing he has tried against Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has really worked.
