OK James, you have a tiny part of the answer – and I think by your rude criticism of everything that has gone before, you missed many good things along the way. Quit calling everyone you disagree with Hitler or Stalin.

Your point on eliminating the carrots is the best start towards reducing the flow of enthusiastic, illegal, alien job seekers. But we need to eliminate ALL the carrots: Drivers licenses, welfare, jobs for the un-jobbed, free schools, voting rights, low cost housing, medical care heavens. I didn’t vote for politicians who would set up a “separate but equal country” inside the U.S. based on compassion for people who can’t live here legally. But, that’s what we all have now. The next part of the story is to replace the carrot farmers too. After that we can hope for new laws where “legals” can have lots of nice benefits AND help pay their share too, like the rest of us tax paying citizens do. Some of the first steps in this massive chore will not be perfect but they must be imposed and repaired as we go. We can’t afford to wait until some perfect minded reformers come along to lead the way. Can you?
