Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 | Just because they say something is intended to be part of Prop. C, because it is intended by council, it doesn’t always hold up in court.

The 30 ft. Coastal Height limit was much stronger than Prop C. It said the height limit would apply to everything west of I-5 & north of Laurel. The originators of proposition signed on to the lawsuit against NTC and did a co-press conference with Save Our NTC stating the proposition included federal land.

In court, Judge Mac Amos said, “I don’t know if the intenders of the Prop. meant to include federal land?”

Mignon, one of the originators, sat there in court and couldn’t believe his logic and his interptation ignoring the documents.

If this could happen, then Prop. C is full of loopholes.
