Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 | It was transparently obvious from the very beginning that the airport search was a fiasco and nothing would come of it except for a total waste of taxpayer money. Operation of Lindbergh Field should be returned to the Port District and those fancy furnishings that the authority received should be turned in to an upscale bar so some of the money could be recovered.
The photograph of authority chairman Craver with his dark suit, brown shirt, and white tie alone are proof that the airport search would fail. Anyone who dresses that bad certainly shouldn’t be in charge of anything using taxpayer money.
