Charlene Zettel, a former airport authority board member and former assemblywoman, is returning to her old gig. The 59-year-old Poway resident was appointed today to the authority’s executive committee by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Pending Senate confirmation, Zettel, a Republican, replaces former authority board member Xema Jacobson, a Democrat who left office last week. She’ll earn $171,648 annually.
Zettel served on the authority board from 2002 to 2004 and has been director of the state Department of Consumer Affairs since then.
She served in the assembly from 1998 to 2002.
