Chula Vista’s City Council meets at 6 p.m. tonight and is expected to reject a plan to build a new power plant on the city’s bay front.

A majority of council members oppose the new power plant, and say they want to free up the bay-front land for more beneficial uses — including a potential Chargers stadium.

Check out my Saturday story, if you missed it.

I’ll be talking about the expected decision at 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on KPBS’s Full Focus.
