As I noted in a story last week, the Charter Review Committee is winding down its work on the overhaul of the city’s constitution.

The panel is in charge of deciding the number of council seats, the strength of the mayor’s veto, and the oversight of the internal auditor.

Here is the draft of the final recommendations that the panel will consider at its final meeting, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Balboa Park Club. The meeting place is located at 2150 West Pan American Road.

I tried to get a copy of the draft for my story last week, but it was not made available until last week’s meeting, the first of two meetings to discuss the final draft.
