Bill Metcalf, the area fire coordinator, said nearly all the fires burning have the potential to reach the coast.

“I think there’s a pretty good possibility they could all reach the coast,” he said.

The one caveat: There’s one fire that’s close to Cleveland National Forest that’s moving south. However, all the fires moving west could hit the coast, he said, because the Santa Ana winds are expected to be sustained through Tuesday evening or Wednesday.
