School board member John Lee Evans just told me that he and Richard Barrera are heading to Sacramento today to meet with the governor and legislators. Evans said they’re trying to get a larger share of state money for San Diego Unified and other large urban school districts.

It’s going to be a pretty quick trip: They’re flying out in the morning and coming back at night. I’ll check back in with them for more details after their day in Sac-town.
