Wednesday, April 1, 2009 | San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio should use his Audit Committee membership to disclose the facts of the 111 complaints to the city’s Fraud Hotline. Instead, he participates in a cover up engineered by the mayor, the Audit Committee chair and the city auditor. They are covering up the seven Hotline complaints of “conflict of interest” the eight complaints of “theft” and the two complaints of “falsification of records.”

The public is entitled to know the details of these alleged crimes. We are not asking for the names of the whistleblowers. Yet we have been stonewalled by Mr. DeMaio’s Audit Committee.
