Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 | Each week the local sportswriters predict a victory for “The best roster in the NFL”. So far they’ve forecast four of the team’s two victories. Let’s face it, this team probably won’t win the title in a weak division.

You can blame the coach, the injuries or whatever you want, but they’ve played two patsies and two good teams and are 2-2, which is better than the Raiders or the Chiefs, but not very good. They’re a mediocre team that’s soft on both offense and defense.

The Chargers can’t run the ball, they can’t stop the run, and they can’t rush the passer. The reality is that their roster is not strong. Sure, they’ve had key injuries, but good teams survive because their backups are good. Not the Bolts, with some of the most overrated players in the league (E.g., Merriman, Castillo, Cromartie). There are no Hines Wards on this team. If I were L.T., I’d demand to be traded, because he isn’t going to get much blocking this year.
