Our Q&A this week will be with Fred Maas, head of downtown redevelopment agency, Centre City Development Corp.
There’s a lot going on in Maas’ world these days. He’s Mayor Jerry Sanders’ point man for the new downtown Chargers stadium effort. CCDC has its fingers in the other three major public building proposals — the Convention Center expansion, the downtown main library and a new City Hall building.
He’s also the de facto chief of CCDC since former executive director Nancy Graham resigned in July 2008 amid a conflict of interest scandal.
