Looks like San Diego Unified could be losing another of its leaders: The Peoria Journal-Star is reporting that Grenita Lathan, who is the second-in-command in the school district, is the frontrunner for a superintendency in Illinois. Lathan was picked as interim deputy superintendent after the exit of Chuck Morris, who served under former Superintendent Terry Grier. She oversees curriculum and other instructional aspects of schools.
