Local KUSI personality Michael Turko followed up on that house we’ve been telling you about, the $800,000 home in Encinitas that nobody can live in until there’s an affordable unit built next door. I

n the segment he chatted with Mick Pattinson, former head of the builder behind the subdivision, whose anti-bank perspective we heard here a few weeks ago.

Turko stopped in and interviewed a few neighboring homeowners, who are livid about the vacant home on their cul-de-sac.

Here’s his take:

There are open houses for the second phase of Nantucket — five standing homes and four lots — this week and next week. That half of the project has been stalled since Barratt American’s trouble with Bank of America began in 2008.
