It’s a painful feeling losing a memory card. It’s sort of the digital equivalent of accidentally opening the back of your camera and overexposing all of your film.

It happened to me last September, following a matchup between the Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens. While editing the photos in the media room at Qualcomm Stadium, I dropped a memory card and, after searching for it for ages, gave up.

Well the other night, while digging for equipment at the bottom of my camera bag, I found a four gigabyte memory card and slipped it into my camera. I was curious to see what was on the card and, lo and behold, it was my photos from the Chargers vs. Ravens game.

It was a big deal for me. The game was one of the best-lit and most action-packed of the season. Here are some of my favorites from that memory card.
