Will Parson, a freelance photographer who shot portraits of the Union-Tribune’s editor, Jeff Light, for our most recent weekend Q&A, has put some outtakes from the shoot on his blog.

It got me thinking about my most recent installation of the San Diego People Project, in which I featured Norman Bryson, a UCSD art history professor. Just as Parson witnessed a range of emotions from the editor, I watched Bryson fluctuate through a gamut of facial expressions as I switched up poses and backgrounds a number of times. These are a few of my favorites.
