Late Friday, Mayor Jerry Sanders released a revised version of the city’s 2011 budget. I’m not finished examining it in detail, but here’s the news nugget:

The day-to-day operating budget increased by $3.3 million, but city Chief Operating Officer Jay Goldstone said no more cuts are needed to balance the budget. One fix: The city will be paying less money to its worker compensation fund and its public liability fund, Goldstone wrote in a memo to City Council.

Here is a link to Goldstone’s memo. Please let me know (liam.dillon@voiceofsandiego.org) if you spy something interesting.

The 2011 budget citywide stands at $2.85 billion.
