In it, Herminia Enriques talks emotionally about why she became active in the movement to establish Chicano Park under the Interstate 5 and Coronado Bridge overpasses. Since the 1970s, it’s been a place of pride for Mexican-American and Latino residents of Barrio Logan and San Diego, a place where friends and families gather for picnics, performances, or the occasional game of handball.
