The Ballot Measure Would:

• Expand the school board from five to nine members.

• Appoint the four new members by a committee of parents, university leaders and a business rep.

• Limit school board members to three terms of four years each.

• Select the five elected members from subdistricts in the general election, rather than from the entire school district.

• Add new rules on how the school board reviews annual school improvement plans.
