Midday news flash: The California Supreme Court has ruled that undocumented immigrant students can continue to pay in-state tuition at California public colleges and universities, as they do now, the Los Angeles Times reports. A lower court had earlier ruled against the law.

Here in San Diego, the decision was cheered by the San Diego Community College District and the regional chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, which both threw their support to the existing rules.
