It wasn’t just a group of soccer players who had to wiggle through a fence to get to a park at Sherman Elementary in Sherman Heights.

Reporter Adrian Florido and I squirmed our way through as well, hoping to tell the story of why a park the city maintains wasn’t open to the public.

Adrian looked relieved the next day after a city worker opened up the gates — prompted by calls from VOSD. He no longer had to squirm for his story.
