What I’m Doing
Driving along El Cajon Boulevard blows my mind.

I’m constantly fascinated by the diversity of the restaurants, the businesses and the people on The Boulevard. From the hip pool-goers at the Lafayette Hotel to the refugee resettlement workers in City Heights, one thing weaves the people here together – they all have stories to tell.

I’ll be exploring El Cajon Boulevard this year through a photo series we’re calling Tales From the Boulevard. We’ll turn an eye to the people that make this place tick.

If you know of an interesting story that I should tell through my lens, don’t hesitate to call me at 619-550-5664, or email me at sam.hodgson@voiceofsandiego.org.
