A couple of weeks ago, I got the chance to go up in a helicopter to take my first crack at some aerial photography.

The purpose of the trip was very specific, and that story won’t be released quite yet. But along the way, I got to shoot a lot of fun stuff and rack up a lot of file photos.

While some of these will work well to illustrate other stories, such as an overhead of Qualcomm Stadium we ran the other day, some work much better as standalones.

Each day this week, I’ll share another aerial photograph with you. Let me know what you think, and tell us what we should be shooting next time I’m in the air.

Today’s image was shot over the beaches of Del Mar.
