Here’s the video from Malashock Dance’s upcoming piece, “The Floating World,” that I wrote a bit about on Friday. The piece, which includes collaborators in costumes, music and video projections, tells the story of a dance company on tour. Malashock will present it next month at the San Diego Museum of Art.

The performance will be in the round, meaning that audience members will be seated on four sides of the performance. I ask John Malashock, the company’s artistic director, about choreographing for such a setup in the clip below:
