I’m getting excited about our upcoming event and want to make sure you know all about it.
Sam Hodgson is my dear pal. It’s inexpressible how much of an impact his photographs make in VOSD, as you readers of Behind the Scene surely agree after seeing his work in series like our recent Countdown to Curtain at the opera. We’ve gathered a ton of those photographs from politics, neighborhoods, arts and the sky to assemble into a book, and we’re going to launch that book, “Our People, Our Places: A San Diego Photo Story” at a party the evening of May 11.
We’re also that night celebrating VOSD’s arts coverage, Behind the Scene: The Art and Drama of Making Art in San Diego, which we launched just last fall.
We would love to see you on the evening of May 11 to celebrate and have good chats about photography and local arts.
Update: We’ll share more information shortly about the time, location and cost of the event.
