Ladies and gentleman, we have a winner.
Mary Lydon, executive director of the Urban Land Institute, is the proud recipient of a two-hour photo shoot with our staff photographer Sam Hodgson. Lydon signed up five new subscribers to our Morning Report emails and, by doing so, qualified herself to win the photo shoot in a random drawing.
We contacted Lydon last week to tell her the exciting news and to find out what she’d be assigning Hodgson to do. We told her she could get just about anything she wanted, like most of the stuff in Sam’s book.
“I will use my donated photo shoot time to have Sam capture the award winners at ULI’s 8th annual Awards of Excellence program and to get an updated professional headshot,” Lydon said in an email. “Although I love to use my six-year-old headshot and pretend that time is not moving I have to admit its time for an updated picture.”
Coincidentally, Scott Lewis, CEO of voiceofsandiego.org, will be master of ceremonies at the event.
Lydon was one of nine people who qualified for the competition. The daily email is a convenient way to get important local news, in a quick, readable fashion every day.
Other qualifiers inclue Donna Frye, Jon Heller, Maren Dougherty, Steve Warner, Patricia Sinay, Peter Kalivas, Rebecca Rauber and Vince Vasquez. We’re grateful to them for helping to share the news.
