Three Key Dates in the Mayor’s Race

June 5: Candidates can start raising money. If they haven’t declared by this point, they’re starting behind other big names

June 30: The end of the next financial reporting period. Candidates have just more than three weeks to raise money before then. Their totals will become public soon after.

June 5, 2012: The date of the mayoral primary. Political strategists and observers expect it will cost upwards of $1 million to compete.
