I’ll be interviewing Monica Henestroza, the San Diego Unified government relations guru, for our weekly Q&A next week. It’s a scary time for schools and Sacramento: Schools just got one step closer to massive midyear cuts that officials say could push San Diego Unified close to insolvency.

A crucial new state report predicted that California won’t get the revenues it was counting on to spare schools. The governor must decide whether to make the cuts based on that report and a second one that’s due next month from the Department of Finance.

What do you want to know about how things in Sacramento could impact your local schools? What about the threatened cuts? Please send me your suggestions!
