I think that Will blew it when he did the story based almost entirely on the statements of disgruntled former union employees. By doing so, he’s lost any hope of working with the current union leaders. That means that any future VOSD education articles will be based on the position of the school board, which will be only half the story. The article noted that things went south between the school district and the union when the district reneged on promises made to the union. How about an article on that broken promise? What did the school board and district leaders promise the union, and how did they break that promise?
Let you readers make up their own minds on whose right or wrong based on the facts. Don’t let yourself be seen as just shilling for the district.
