Two recent campaign mailers claimed District 1 Councilwoman Sherri Lightner, who is running for re-election, voted to give $28 million in bonuses to city staffers “just for doing their jobs.” The mailers also accused Lightner of rewarding campaign donors with taxpayer funds.
