San Diego Unified School District’s new numbers guy caught some flack recently for a claim that the average teacher in the district makes more than $90,000 a year.

That was just one surprising statement district Chief Financial Officer Stan “Data” Dobbs made in an interview with Voice of San Diego .

Within days, the district superintendent and school board president responded with corrections and clarifications. We also fact checked two of Dobbs’ comments here and here.
