We are in the final stretch of the District 1 San Diego County supe race!

This week on the show, our hosts break down why a mailer sent out in support of candidate Vivian Moreno, a city of San Diego councilmember, pissed some people off.

We also have an update on Mayor Todd Gloria’s decision to eliminate the position of chief operating officer. After we broke the news that former COO Eric Dargan filed a lawsuit against the city and Gloria, our Lisa Halverstadt also learned something we didn’t know before: Dargan was fired for cause, according to the mayor’s office.

Our podcast crew explains what happened.

Also, reporter Will Huntsberry breaks down his latest story on the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Officials and a former employee are trading corruption allegations.
