How would you feel if your favorite baseball team took a stand on local political issues? Would you dig it or hate it?

Turns out the Padres are asking San Diegans those very questions.

As our editor Scott Lewis reported last week, a reader recently received a poll paid for by the San Diego Padres organization seeking to get locals’ takes on how they would feel if the team got more political. They’ve been outspoken about a few issues at City Hall lately and we’re here to help you make sense of what it all means.

Former Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey joins us to unpack how the Padres are getting into politics. He also updates us on what he’s been up to and weighs in on how President Donald Trump is running the show.
