Thursday, June 1, 2006 | Reference the article “City Struggles to Hire, Keep Cops” you published; Everyone talks about a plan to keep trained officers from leaving. This isn’t rocket science.

The only plan San Diego needs is to get the San Diego Police Officers’ pay scale and benefits in the same ball park as the other law enforcement agencies in the San Diego region. And, they need to do it soon, before San Diego loses hundreds of more officers to other agencies!
