The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s studies project 1,000 construction workers would be needed during the construction of a potential airport at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Not all would be needed at the same time.

The authority’s analysis says it’s unlikely that construction – and related hiring – would induce any substantial amount of growth in the area.
