Interim U.S. Attorney Karen P. Hewitt announced that Leopoldo B. Villanueva pled guilty to corruptly profiting from his employment at the Drug Enforcement Agency, according to a press release just issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Villanueva admitted that in 2003 and 2004 he personally received approximately $13,500 from a DEA vendor, a tow truck company, whose contract he oversaw. Here’s the press release.
