I heard back today from Marco Gonzalez, the Surfrider Foundation attorney who has previously been involved in lawsuits over border sewage issues. He’s out of town and e-mailed this statement about the International Boundary and Water Commission’s decision to scuttle the Bajagua project yesterday:

It’s astounding to me that the IBWC thinks it can simply anoint a previously rejected project and technology without inviting further litigation. Unbelievable.
