Just a quick note: A couple of readers have e-mailed me asking whether the law firm mentioned in this story by my colleague Emily Alpert is the same firm that was just chosen to be the new corporate lawyers for the Southeastern Economic Development Corp.
It is.
Dan Shinoff, the lawyer at the center of Alpert’s story, is a shareholder in the firm of Stutz, Artiano, Shinoff & Holtz, the same firm that SEDC’s board voted unanimously to choose as its new lawyers in last month’s board meeting.
Incidentally, the firm is housed a few feet away from voiceofsandiego.org‘s own offices in Liberty Station. That could make things interesting if we ever have a Petty Watch-style showdown with the firm over the release of SEDC-related documents.
