If we are going to be penalized for over-watering, I think the many golf courses, which are HUGE water users, should be forced to cut back tremendously. It most likely won’t happen because the government profits from it and the politicians play on them. But the bottom line is this: in a crisis like the one we’re facing, they should be shut off.
Also, I would like to see a public hotline established to report city wasting of water. So often, I am walking or driving and see the city wasting water: running down the street gutters, sprinklers on when it is raining, etc.
They should also be held accountable for wasting water, too.
