I know we got you excited about the next installment of People at Work with Sam Hodgson’s sneak peek post last week, and we promised it was coming last night.

But then I got hit by a bus. Figuratively, at least. I got sick last week and it’s had me beat for several days.

I’m sorry for the delay. We’ll be getting you the story about Jeff Skowron, the actor playing the Grinch at the Old Globe, very soon.

In the meantime, does your family go to see the Grinch production during the holiday season? I ran into a few folks who’ve been going for 12 years, as long as the production’s been going here.

Any other traditions you have in San Diego? Have you ever stopped to think about the people behind those events? Imagine how many hours of labor went in to December Nights in Balboa Park and all of the neighborhoods’ holiday parades this weekend.

These are the kind of questions we ask to figure out what stories would be interesting for our People at Work series. The series is our monthly chance to see San Diego’s economy through a human lens. If you have any thoughts for future installments, leave a comment below or send me an e-mail at kelly.bennett@voiceofsandiego.org.
