I’ve been writing about a variety of local businesses doing well in the recession — from a dot-com startup to beer-related businesses.

Now I want to know about San Diegans who make money from their YouTube videos. YouTube has a program that allows users who create or produce their own videos to earn money from ads displayed with their videos or by making their videos available for rental streaming.

Do you know of anyone locally who is making money through their YouTube videos this way? What are other ways San Diegans are earning money from their online videos?

Let me know via e-mail, on Twitter or in the comments.
