It’s one week before the June 8 primary elections and local campaigns are throwing all sorts of advertisements into your mailboxes to see what sticks.

We’d like to keep up on the mail that’s going out there and highlight and Fact Check some of them.

San Diego City Council candidate Felipe Hueso threatened a lawsuit over a mailer sent by rival David Alvarez. And the U-T warned voters to read the fine print in some of the mailers they receive. The endorsed candidates might not be endorsed by the group you think.

E-mail (liam.dillon@voiceofsandiego.org) or fax me the campaign ads (619.325.0530) and we’ll take a look.
