My kids go to different magnet schools that both start and end at the same time. The buses make it possible to get them both to school on time every day. It also helps with pick up because I cannot get to both schools in time. I would be more than willing to pay $500 or more per year to keep the buses!

The worst thing about losing the buses would be the loss of magnet opportunities for students from poor families who will not be able to find another way to these schools. I think the bus fee should be based on family income. That would be the fairest way to handle it. I would be happy to pay more than someone who has a lower income.
