Listen to the latest episode of our radio show on KOGO AM 600, which airs Saturdays at 7 a.m.
Scott Lewis talks to Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, one of the five major candidates to announce for the San Diego mayoral race.
The conversation starts off with the question on all our minds:
SCOTT LEWIS: The most important question on everybody’s mind. You know, you’re hailed — I’ve even heard people talk about you’re on your way to being president.
NATHAN FLETCHER: Aw, geez.
SL: San Diego Magazine said you’re the best-looking person on Earth. You’re a war veteran, you’ve got a great resume, you’re articulate. There’s gotta be a blemish.
NF: (laughs) Talk to my wife.
SL: You’re not texting photos of your wiener to anybody, are you?
NF: (laughs) No, definitely not! We’re not texting any photos at all.
SL: It’d be good to get it out now and we can just deal with it.
NF: That would make news, that would make news. If you had my wife on, I think she could probably fill an entire hour talking about my faults.
They also review Fletcher’s bio, discuss Bonnie Dumanis and her CEO-style skills (and whether Fletcher has them), what it’s like to make life-or-death decisions on the battlefield, the Hero and Goat of the Week and more.
