Thousands of mourners descended upon Point Loma this morning to remember Jeremy Henwood, the 36-year-old San Diego police officer who was shot to death last weekend while on patrol in City Heights.

I was there as the funeral procession arrived this morning outside of the Rock Church.

The Union-Tribune has had in-depth coverage since Henwood’s murder.

Last night, they had photos and video from a candlelight vigil in City Heights for the officer. They also have more photo coverage coming through today.
