From the first time we heard about the long-hidden Aztec Brewing Co. murals, both KPBS arts reporter Angela Carone and I have loved telling our friends about this slice of San Diego history that we were eager to share with all of you this week.

Part One: The Aztec Brewing Co. tasting room on Main Street in Barrio Logan featured extravagant artwork and décor that escaped demolition in the ’80s and has been sitting in storage ever since.
