You might have seen on television or web ads, including one potentially above this article, a comparison between a four-star general’s pension and one of a San Diego “City Librarian.” It’s being run by supporters of the city of San Diego pension initiative.

We’ve gotten a number of requests to fact check it. Fortunately, we already have — the ad first appeared 18 months ago on a giant, roving billboard. At the time, we deemed it Misleading.
