Election Day only just came and went, but there’s already another big change in local politics: City Council President Tony Young is stepping down to lead the local Red Cross. In the latest edition of VOSD Radio, Scott Lewis and Will Carless review Young’s time on the council, and look ahead to who might run.

They also look at a recent Fact Check in which we gave Poway schools Superintendent John Collins a Huckster Propaganda verdict for a claim in which he compared his district’s bond financing methods to other districts statewide.

Plus, find out why VOSD Radio named departing county Chief Administrative Officer Walt Ekard as the Hero of the Week and the framers of the San Diego city charter who moved to the strong mayor form of government as the Goat of the Week. Listen here.

VOSD Radio airs on AM 600 KOGO on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Subscribe to the podcast here.
