San Diego’s City Council adopted a new community plan for Barrio Logan, but that doesn’t mean the issue’s been put to bed.

NBC 7’s Catherine Garcia and Voice of San Diego reporter Andrew Keatts explain the neighborhood controversy, which pitted residents against the maritime industry. The plan won’t become official until the Coastal Commission signs off, which could happen anytime during the second half of 2014.

Catherine Green was formerly the deputy editor at Voice of San Diego. She handled daily operations while helping to plan new long-term projects.
