Voice of San Diego’s Oct. 25 Morning Report included an inewsource story about the Lincoln Club’s expenditures on negative ads against mayoral candidate Nathan Fletcher.

It also listed contributors to the Lincoln Club during the period between July 1 and Oct. 23, which included Gafcon’s Lincoln Club renewal fees.

The story made it appear that all contributors to the Lincoln Club during this period (including regular club membership fees) were also paying for, and thereby endorsing, these very distasteful and misleading attack ads against Fletcher.

Due to these actions, I have resigned from the Lincoln Club. The people of San Diego deserve better.
